Lynndale Children's Athletics

Currently run a fun children's athletics evening on Wednesday from 5.30 to 7pm at Olympic Park, New Lynn. The evening caters for children from 3 to 14 years. Different programs are run. These basically involve running races, shot put, discus, long jump and high jump.

The children are given the opportunity to compete against both themselves and others throughout the season.

The 3 to 6 year olds start at 5.30pm and the 7 and older at 6.00pm, the program runs for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

The fees are very reasonable and range from $10 to $60 a season.

Parents are expected to help out in the running of the events and recording of the results

For the 2008-09 season registration night is on Wednesday 22 October from 6 to 7 pm in the clubrooms, Olympic Park, Portage Road, New Lynn with the first night on the track and field being Wednesday 5 November (subject to council confirmation of access to the field). Evenings are held on Wednesdays through to late March - breaking for the Christmas and School holidays.
